Turn Point Oil Spill // ORIGINAL
Only 1 left!
The Turn Point Light Station is on the northwest end of Stuart Island, which is on the US's northwest maritime border with Canada. Despite its remote location, Turn Point sees a lot of action. It's positioned on a turn in two shipping lanes, at the transition between Boundary Pass and Haro Strait, and looks out on many ships passing by. The site captured the imagination of one writer, who commissioned this scene of a hypothetical oil spill. Though possible given oil tanker routes through the Salish Sea, this oil spill has not happened!
This ink and watercolor ORIGINAL measures 16x16" in its mat. It is unframed, as pictured, and only hypothetical, as mentioned.
