Kitsap Peninsula Oversize Vinyl Map
This is a print on vinyl, mounted with wood dowels on top and bottom and includes pre-installed hardware for hanging. It's reminiscent of classroom pull-down maps and is ideal for a big space since it's 3 feet across and 4 feet in height.
Branching off the massive Olympic Peninsula of Washington State, the Kitsap Peninsula is a complex bit of geography. Home to hundreds of thousands of people, it boasts the major towns of Poulsbo, Bremerton, Port Orchard and Gig Harbor. Major waterways like the Hood Canal, Case Inlet, Carr Inlet and Colvos Passage surround and connect the peninsula to nearby regions. Washington State Ferries connect Kingston to Edmonds, Bremerton to Seattle, and Southworth to Fauntleroy (West Seattle).
On this detailed map, I included as much information as possible. Rivers and lakes are labeled as well as cities and census-designated places. Lighthouses, airports and ports are indicated with symbols. Ferry sailing routes, destinations, key landmarks and major highways are highlighted. Includes significant islands like Bainbridge, Vashon, Anderson, Harstine and Whidbey.
Great reference map and gift for anyone who lives in the Pacific Northwest, especially sailors who need a beautiful nautical style map!
On the original, I used waterproof ink and watercolor to create the painting.
