Part of my ongoing series of mountain ranges, this stunning panorama illustrates and labels the peaks of the Cascade Range from Skagit Valley, emphasizing the western foothills and prominent peaks.
This special ink and watercolor ORIGINAL measures about 13" x 40" - It's a big one! It is unmatted and unframed, as pictured, and will need to be custom framed.
The Skagit Valley of Western Washington boasts some of the best soil in the country, thanks to the rich Skagit River delta that pours into the Salish Sea. This special valley (and county) has great views of the Cascade Range, specifically the Skagit subrange, which extends into Canada. The full Cascade Range extends from British Columbia south through Oregon and into Northern California. This piece captures the prominent peaks of Skagit County, looking east, like the Canadian Cascades, Mt Baker, the Twin Sisters Range, Picket Range and Eldorado Range. The perspective is as if you were floating over Deception Pass looking northwest.
This piece took longer to research than draw and paint! I combed through hiker blogs, aerial photos, Google Earth and topographic maps to piece together this unique view. Great mountain art and peak identifier chart for the outdoor and nature lover!
