Lighthouses of the San Juan Islands // Archival Print
Home to four Washington Coast lighthouses, the San Juans Islands never cease to delight! Turn Point (Stuart Island), Lime Kiln (San Juan Island), Cattle Point (San Juan Island) and Patos Island have a variety of styles of lighthouses.
The San Juans are a tight cluster of islands in the Salish Sea, between Western Washington and Vancouver Island, laced together by an extensive public transport system of drive-on ferry boats, connecting Anacortes to destinations like Friday Harbor. I've spent time on these islands since I was young, and they feel like a second home. They are one of my favorite places in the whole world, so I was eager to make this map.
Highlights include the four largest islands with public ferries: San Juan Island, Orcas Island, Lopez Island and Shaw Island. Smaller islands pepper the grouping too, like Stuart, Blakely, Waldron, Decatur and Center Islands. I've included ferry routes and identified bodies of water like the Haro Strait and Puget Sound.
Ideal gift for the sailor or lighthouse lover in your life, or anyone who has a love for these islands on the Pacific Coast!
