This illustration features 16 varieties of edible mushrooms, common to the Pacific Northwest! Some you've probably heard of like Oyster, Golden Chanterelle, Black Truffles and Chicken of the Woods. Others might be new, like Sweet Tooth and Amethyst Deceiver.The variety of shape, color and style among fungi blew my mind as I researched this piece - especially "Orange Peel" mushrooms!
Each mushroom is rendered in ink and watercolor and labeled with its common and latin name.
