Holden Village is a remote 1930s era town-turned-retreat-center in the mountains of Chelan, Washington. In 2015 I was an artist-in-residence at the historic Holden Village in Washington for six weeks. Holden averages over 250 inches of snow annually, making it an ideal destination for skiers and snowshoers. This piece illustrates the established paths and mountain peaks in the remote wilderness surrounding Holden Village and is posted in the village (and daily updated) to warn of trail closures due to avalanche danger.
This ink and watercolor ORIGINAL measures 22.5 by 15." It is unmatted and unframed, as pictured.
