Whidbey & Camano Island Watercolor Map
Whidbey Island and Camano Island are prominent features of the Puget Sound in Western Washington. Whidbey's unusual, twisting shape is 55 miles long, making it visible from many of the coastal cities near Seattle. It's a popular destination, despite the need for a ferry crossing to access much of the island, from the scenic Deception Pass on the north end to Oak Harbor and the Naval Air Station Whidbey Islnad to the historic Coupeville to the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry crossing on the south end.
Whidbey seems to act as the protective big brother to Camano Island, which curls toward the mainland of Skagit County. It is a "drive onto" island with the 532 crossing and Camano Gateway Bridge.
Familiar ferry crossings criss-cross this island: Sidney BC/Anacortes, Port Townsend/Coupeville, and Mukilteo/Clinton.
This is an archival print on high-quality matte paper. Watermark is not included on the actual print.
